Chief of Security on the USS Joshua
Chief of Security Lieutenant Linda Hapke here with a bit of my history with the USS Joshua. I became a member of the Joshua in September 1996. I volunteered to help out with the movie premier of Star Trek: First Contact. I helped the Halloween decorating committee Oct 1996, and Dec 1996 attended my 1st Ferengi Gift Exchange.
I took the JOTS Test in early 1998. I had planned on running for one of the departments as a Senior Officer, but unfortunately, being forced out of a job and personal family business took me out of state. I returned to Texas and rejoined the USS Joshua in 2003. Then I moved to McKinney, and again work kept me away from my Star Trek family, although I was able to make a meeting every once in a while.
I've been a Star Trek fan since it originally aired in 1966. Became a Dr Who fan in the mid 70's, when Tom Baker played the part of Who. The Joshua and its members have become my 'family of friends' over the years.
As you can see, I've been with the USS Joshua for quite a while and have seen it change for the better over the years. I take my new position as Chief of Security seriously, and plan on performing my duties to the very best of my abilities.
